Our patented Seedbed allows roots to breathe just like they do in natural soil. Its unique watering system gently hydrates the roots and promotes air circulation, helping plants grow healthier and stronger.

Getting Started With the Water Bottle
The Water Bottle features a top NutriFlow Bottle and a bottom transparent Water Level Indicator Chamber, designed to deliver a steady mix of water and nutrients.
Just like natural rainfall, a mix of water and nutrients soaks into the seed starter plugs, helping roots breathe and avoiding excess moisture.
To fill the Water Tub, manually remove the NutriFlow Bottle.
Add water until the yellow tip of the red indicator becomes visible. When the red bar rises, the Water Tub is full. Stop filling and allow the seed starter plugs to absorb the water.
Enough

Too High
After filling up the NutriFlow Bottle, insert it back to the Water Level Indicator Chamber, then the mix of water and nutrients flow into the Seedbed.
When the yellow tip on the Water Level Indicator Chamber drops out of sight (similar to a buoy sinking), refill the NutriFlow Bottle and reinsert it.
Too Low
The red light blinks when the water level is too low.
Detach the NutriFlow Bottle, then fill the Water Tub directly through the Water Level Indicator Chamber.

BALCONYFARM Pot’s LED delivers a full-spectrum light that mimics natural sunlight (CCT 4500K–5000K). Blue light support leaf and stem growth, while red light promote flowering and fruiting.
At noon, sunlight has a PPFD of about 1800 μmol/m²/s, but this includes the full spectrum from UV to IR. Since around 10% is lost to UV and 50% to IR, only about 45% of the light contributes to photosynthesis (PAR range).
The LM301H EVO LEDs in BALCONYFARM emits only within the PAR range (400–700 nm), maximizing efficiency for plant growth. Its photon efficiency (PPF/W) is around 2.96 μmol/J , outstanding even by commercial horticulture standards.

FAQ


Green algae that form on the surface of the growing medium are a common occurrence in soilless cultivation environments and do not affect plant growth.

However, if you wish to remove the algae for aesthetic reasons, gently scrape off the affected areas. To prevent further algae growth, cover the exposed surface of the medium—especially areas exposed to sunlight—with a light-blocking sheet (such as black nonwoven fabric or aluminum foil).

Be mindful not to seal the surface too tightly; excessive humidity on the medium can accelerate algae formation, so ensure there is adequate ventilation.


⚠️ If the water level in the basin remains above the recommended level for extended periods, oxygen supply to the roots may be disrupted, potentially leading to microbial growth. Please monitor the watering status either via the app or visually, and maintain appropriate water levels accordingly.



If pests are found on plants grown in the BALCONYFARM Pot, they may have entered through various routes — such as from nearby outdoor plants or through open windows.
To prevent infestations, maintain a stable indoor temperature and humidity, and avoid weakening plant roots.
You can also use companion planting by growing strongly scented herbs like rosemary, peppermint, or basil nearby to naturally repel pests.

Tips for Making Natural Plant Repellents!

• Vinegar Spray: Mix water and vinegar at an 8:2 ratio and spray on both the front and back of the leaves.

• Garlic Spray: Crush one clove of garlic, mix it with 500ml of water, let it sit for a day, and then spray onto the leaves.

• Egg Yolk Spray: Dilute one egg yolk in 500–1000ml of water and spray directly onto affected areas.

• Repeat the spraying 2–3 times a day for 3–5 days until the pests are eliminated.
